Two-years and counting~

Yesterday marked my two-year anniversary at my job. It's been a crazy couple of years!

I can honestly say that I've...
grown,
been stretched,
laughed,
cried,
developed personally,
changed my view of the world,
lost it,
felt on top of the world,
totally blown it (last time: Thursday),
learned,
been honored,
been jipped,
experienced things I never would have otherwise,
met some great people I never would have otherwise,
spent more money on office supplies than should be legal,
adapted to become more efficient,
bought more clothes (love that!),
gotten used to the 40th floor,
and the elevator ride,
volunteered,
honed skills,
emerged

and I'm glad I made the decision to change my career path.   I can say with confidence that this experience has put me on a career trajectory that I'm excited about seeing what is to come!

Thank you, Margarita, Susie, and Larry for entrusting me with this opportunity.  (Not that I think you'll ever read this!)  Regardless, all three of you will always hold a special place in my heart!

Grandfathers are for loving and fixing things. ~Author Unknown

We headed up to Dallas/Fort Worth this weekend for Marcia's wedding.  (wedding photos to come. stay tuned!)  We stayed with my Dad in Fort Worth.  The kids were very excited about hanging out with Grandpa and, of course, getting in some hot tubbin'!

 Peace out.
Kiss for big brother

Grandpa is way fun!

We headed out for dinner at {Chef Point Cafe}, which is a 5 star restarant in a gas station which has been featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network.  I went in to put our name on the list and the hostess said the wait would be at least an hour.  So, we went looking for an alternative... Lexi fell asleep almost right away in the car while we went to three other places.  All three had terribly long wait times!  So, we headed back to Chef Point Cafe, where my name had sat firmly on the list.  We went in and waited... and waited... and waited...
 and waited...
and waited.. Lexi was still asleep (my hands fell asleep twice holding her)... and Justus whined about how hungry he was.  I'm pretty sure I'm assuring him that he won't starve to death for another three days in this photo.
His tune changed when he finally tasted the Macaroni and Cheese.  Epic!  Best Mac & Cheese EVER!
Lexi slept right through ordering.  When she woke up the owner was standing near the table and sweetly offered to bring her anything she wanted.  Another Mac & Cheese?  Coming right up!
Jeremy had the French Cut Pork Chop, my Dad had the Blackened Stuffed Chicken, and I had the Lobster Bisque.  All unbelievable.  All delicious! Awesome meal, Dad/Grandpa!  Thanks!

If you haven't been, you need to go!
Pay no attention to the bunny ears behind my head.

Watchin' A Christmas Story at Grandpa's

My dad kept the kids while we went to the rehearsal and wedding.  They had a great time together:  playing Legos, watching movies and playing video games on his huge screen TV, swimming in the hot tub, and just chillin'.  Thanks, Dad!  You're the best!

Daddy Time!

Jeremy is such a great daddy!  Try not to gag at the precious sweetness to follow.  :)  Love them both.

Day 6: More fun, Less stuff update

Here's a quick update:

We're slightly behind, but we ARE making progress!
As of this morning, we should each have 35 to be on track.  We have had a couple of curve balls thrown at us this week, including a sick little girl and an extra load at work.  She's feeling much better today and I am oooooofffffffff tomorrow!  So watch out, stuff!

Justus is all over this challenge and in the lead with 32 items as of this morning.

I think I'm at 24 at the moment, but have some items in mind that I can add when I finally get to go home (working late tonight for my counterpart)!

Lexi has 22.  And requires lots of encouragement and assistance!

Jeremy has done three days and is at 21.  He's pretty sure he's out of things to give away.  I tend to think the garage may prove otherwise and he would march me back into my closet if I said the same thing.

That puts us squarely at 99 items!
