Spring Reading Line Up

I'm just about finished with my current read.
Emma's Story by Bob Sjogren & Stephani R. Jenkins
My sis-in-law, Stephani, co-authored it.  Tear jerker much, Steph?  You didn't warn me!  hahahaha.

I downloaded the Kindle App on my iPhone.  Whoa.  I read this....
48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller

The App is so cool.  I have my iPhone with me most.all.the.time.  So, being able to whip out my "book" and read wherever I happened to be waiting was amazing!  Great book, too, by the way.  Really inspiring and thought-provoking.

So, with these two under and almost-under my belt, that's got me thinking, what's next?

Plan B:  What Do You Do When God Doesn't Show Up the Way You Thought He Should by Pete Wilson

I'm excited to read this book.  Pretty sure I could have used it a number of years ago!  Regardless, I'm looking forward to putting some framework on the idea of a Plan B.  Pretty sure my LifeUncontainable is a Plan B life~and I'm more than fine with that.

Jesus Calling:  Enjoying Peace in His Presence by Sarah Young
My RENEW mentor, Janie, gave me this book.  It's short devotional thoughts from the perspective of Jesus talking to us.  I'm a week and a half into it.  So far, it's not too shabby.

4,000 Questions for Getting to Know Anyone and Everyone by Barbara Ann Kipfer
This caught my eye on {Giggles Glitz and Glam's} blog.  It seemed like a great resource... maybe even another Kindle App purchase for on-the-go!  (Not to mention More Fun-Less Stuff and green, too!)

Fall in Love, Stay in Love by Willard F. Harley, Jr.
I also plan to finish this one.  I started it.  It changed my life.  Wonder what will happen if I actually finish it?

Is there anything else I should add to my "must-read" list for spring?  What are you reading?  Comment below.  Even if you don't have any suggestions or books you're reading, just say "hi"!   I'd love to hear from you.

Fashion Vote: Fail

Apparently, this dress was designed for a 10 year old or a very, very, very small woman.

I'm going to have to call off the voting for now because this dress simply doesn't fit.  And, honestly, there's not much I can do about getting shorter than 5'3".  Sorry.

Trust me, I love the style, so I looked at the website to see if I could order a bigger one.  No luck.  Completely sold out and removed from their inventory!

So, this one will be listed on eBay, unless one of my lovely readers wants to purchase it.  E-mail me at danawilliams77 {at} gmail {dot} com, if you're interested.

Family Bowling Night: Picturebook Edition

Bowling with a little encouragement from Daddy.  Cheering for that ball.  Celebration dance!
That's right, folks, that's a 2mph STRIKE!
He's getting to be so grown up.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers for a fun little dinner right at our lane.
Happy big brother and little sister
Guys. Bein' chill.
Girls.  Bein' silly.
 I {heart} being his mama.
The whole gang.  a.k.a. my favs!

Waiting for our car at the valet.... bowling with valet parking.  Classy!

Sweet boy.  I just love his laugh!
Funny girl.  Her sweet spirit just lights up a room!
Love, ~me

Take that. Rewind it back to January 23. National Pie Day.

We celebrated National Pie Day in the Heights at the Gallery M Squared.  Lest you think this is some long-standing Williams tradition.  It's not.  But, if you know me, I'm always up for something new!
There was a long line at {Pie Day}, so there may or may not have been an excessive amount of silliness while we waited.  Justus' buddy, Sam, joined us on the excursion.
So did Danielle and baby B (and her mom, Jana, too!)
Jeremy & B
Lexi Lu dancing and twirling to the music with Daddy

Plaid Convention.  President Jeremy Williams is now presiding.
I have no explanation for this.  She's goofy.

So, lunch was pie lunch from {Oh My Pocket Pies}.  Basically, imagine a little pot pie wrapped up like an {empanada}.  It's a yummy little package of fried goodness.
Blue Bell on a stick.  Yuuummmmm.
(say that Red Robin commercial style for effect)

Remember the {Mmm Cupcake Truck}?  Well, they were there and Jeremy was soooo looking forward to a cupcake.  But let me tell you, that truck has become so wildly popular that it is nearly impossible to get our hands on some of those delicious treats!  They had run out.  again.  Don't feel too sorry for us, though, there are two vouchers sitting in my car for free cupcakes.  And they had dessert pies at Pie Day, too!
What would a Pie Day be without a Pie-eating contest?
This girl was my pick.  Plus, if you can make plaid, pigtails, and cherry pie smeared all over your face look this cute, you deserve to win something!
Happy Pie Day (a little late)! ~from The Williams
